Brian Eno - Bloom for iPhone, Ambient Music Generator

Brian Eno - ambient thought leader, progressive technologist has created the hypnotic "Bloom" for iPhone visual composition of ambient music. What would Erik Satie - the original piano minimalist and "phonometrician" think after 120 years of technological advancement? Eno calls it "a music box for the 21st century"
Bloom supports single and multi-touch for melodic or harmonic composition and has its own song representation format.

Amy Seefeldt- Contemporary Art Portfolio 08, Developed By MB
This is a beta version/partial compilation of Amy Seefeldt's (San Francisco artist) Contemporary art portfolio project I concepted and designed using Keynote/Quicktime and staged for the web on Vimeo (so here the encode quality/frame-rate is 2 stages degraded from the ultra crisp HD original).
The concept/brief was to deliver:
• A branded portfolio - immersive, kinetic but with a contemporary gallery/postcard feel rather than MTV fast-cut aesthetic
• Progressive visual assembly, paced to elegantly reveal the key information in series for optimum absorption
• Positioning thought-provoking verbal fragments about each work with a consistent design theme for the series
The earlier working versions stubbed Chicane's/Saltwater as a more ethereal soundtrack as opposed to Goldfrapp/Deerstop, both groups being amongst the best in UK progressive electronica. The Goldfrapp song has a timeless ambience with a piano motif similar to french romantic minimalist Erik Satie's "furniture music".

LAVA (Live Audio Visual Animation) Madonna 3D Demo, 2000
This real-time rendered demo of LAVA (Live Audio Visual Animation) was made back in 2000 by Alan Seefeldt/Mark Buchanan/Mike Barnes/Alan Peevers.
All the movement is triggered by audio analysis linked to kinetically animated meshes and the camera and scene cuts are controlled by a custom real-time automation/scripting language.
www.LAVA.com was founded in 1999 by Alan Seefeldt/Mike Barnes (me) & Alan Peevers and incubated by Creative Labs Inc.
LAVA pioneered MV3 (Music-Video-3D), POD's (embedded webpages & 3Dobject hyperlinks) & a push ad engine ORBS (Objects with replaceable banners), Graffitti ( Text FX) and a multitude of realtime generated texture and scene visual FX implemented first in OpenGL and later in Direct3D.
Interview: 3D Sound Surge: Mike Barnes & Alan Seefeldt
